O Romku i kogucie

Romek to dobry chłopak.

Zaczął przeglądać książki i zainteresowała go taka o Indianinach.

Wtedy przypomniał sobie o skaleczonym kolanie i zaczął płakać.

Poszedł do domu.

Zapytałam o to kilka osób i otrzymałam takie odpowiedzi :

Odpowiedź1- Hania, uczennica, lat 6

” Mama przytuliła Romka i pocałowała, żeby nie płakał „.

Odpowiedź2- Filip, uczeń lat 8

„Mama najpierw dała mu klapsa, później przytuliła i opatrzyła kolano”

Odpowiedź3- Hubert, uczeń lat 10

„Mama zadzwoniła do Rzecznika Praw Zwierząt i naskarżyła na Romka”

Odpowiedź4- Bolek, artysta malarz, lat 84

A Wy? Jak byście postąpili na miejscu mamy ? 🙂

A Story of Romek and a Rooster

Romek is a good boy. He helps his parents on the farm and gets pretty good grades at school. He doesn’t have any brothers or sisters, so he often spends time alone. But that doesn’t mean he feels lonely, for he has an incredible imagination and some amazing ideas. Which, by the way, sometimes get him into trouble, as turned out one particular day …

That day Romek was at home and getting bored, so he began to look through some books just to pass the time. One book especially caught his eye: it was a book about Indians with lots of colourful pictures, which spoke to his imagination and made him want to be an Indian that very day! And of course if you want to be an Indian you need a suitable costume. And obviously the most important part of such a costume is the feathered headdress.

His mission now clear, Romek grabbed a key to the henhouse and ran to collect some feathers. On entering he saw several hens perching on a roost and a rooster strutting proudly round like a peacock. And its tail feathers were the very thing for the headdress! “Well”, thought Romek, “those feathers must be plucked.” And he started chasing the rooster, but the rooster, perceiving the danger, made a dash for it. Romek, in hot pursuit, tripped over some concrete steps and badly grazed his knee. That didn’t stop him, however, but only increased his resolve. He got up, resumed the chase and finally managed to grab the bird. But then the rooster suddenly broke free and jumped on Romek’s head! The fight was now in full swing. And in the midst of the battle Romek suddenly realized he was holding a bunch of feathers in his clenched fist. “I did it!” he thought in triumph, but soon his glee faded as he remembered his grazed knee and began to cry.

He finally pulled himself together and walked back home. His mother was standing on the doorstep watching him closely. And what do you think she did seeing Romek in his pitiful condition?

I asked several people for ideas and here are some of the answers I got:

Hania, 6, a schoolgirl: “His Mom hugged him and kissed him, so he would stop crying”

Filip, 8, a schoolboy: “His Mom first spanked him, then hugged him, and then dressed his knee”

Hubert, 10, a schoolboy: “His Mom called an animals rights organization and reported Romek”

Bolek, 84, a painter: “His Mom yelled ‘Why did you torture that poor rooster, you little rascal?!!!!!!!’”

And you? What would you do if you were his Mom? 🙂
